The Millers came to PA from Alsace Germany or Canton Bern, Switzerland. The third generation of Jacob Miller and his wife Catherine Lewis Miller started the Miller family in Iowa. Catherine’s father was an Irish Esquire and his given name was not known. They moved from PA to OH in about 1832 and lived there about ten years and then moved to IN. It was reported that they lived in Wayne County OH and then in Putnam and Parke County in IN.
