The will of Thomas Sawyer, 6 Mar 1706, directs his property to be distributed "Amongst my Children" at his wife's decease according to her will. The distribution of the widow's dower in 1709 makes reference to 7 surviving children. On 9 Sep 1719, the heirs were cited to appear, including Mary Wilder of Lancaster. Mary Wilder had kept her father and mother while brother Thomas was held captive by Indians and French.
'Mary (recorded as Marie), b. Jan. 4, 1652/3; living Nov. 5, 1740, when her father's estate was settled, d. before Jan. 22, 1740/1, when her son Ephraim Wilder was appointed administrator of her estate; m. Lancaster, Jan. 24, 1673/4, Lt. Nathaniel Wilder, b. Charlestown, Nov. 30 (3?), 1650, killed by Indians at Lancaster, July 31, 1704, son of Thomas and Anna Wilder.'
This article (on page 75) indicates that although her father died in 1706, his estate was not settled until after the death of his son Thomas in 1736 - final settlement was on Nov 5 1740.
