This conflicts with the words on her tombstone: "Grandmother". No... it just means that there were no living children at the time when he died.

1888 Deposition of Margaret Smith refers to Rev. F.H. Guenter, pastor as part of her proof of marriage to Charles Smith. Not clear if this reverend was pastor at time of marriage or time of deposition.
