'BLISS, Jonathan2 & Miriam HARMON; m c1648 Braintree/Rehoboth [REG 149:216]'
This information is taken from an argument on the origin of William Hammond published in 1995 by Eugene Cole Zubrinsky, in which he simply used what was considered to be common knowledge at the time. In 1997, Zubrinsky directly addressed the identity of Jonathan Bliss's wife and concluded that there was no evidence for her being Miriam Harmon, and that she was more likely a daughter of George Puffer, possibly (probably?) named Rachel.

'In summary, the oft-repeated assertions that Jonathan2 Bliss's wife was Miriam Harmon are not supported by the available evidence, which points instead to a daughter (Rachel?) of George1 Puffer of Braintree.'
