Research Warning

John Dugger (Jr) and wife Frances "Fanny" Sadler are easily confused with his first cousin John Dugger who was also married to a Frances "Fanny" and who lived nearby. To keep matters straight, the two generally distinguished themselves by a suffix after their names. John (son of John) was usually listed as John Dugger Jr; his cousin John (son of Lydia Dugger) was generally listed as John Dugger, Surry. There may be cases where the records are confused.
