The children of John Covington and Hannah Dockery, listed in a court document as reported in Gregg, p. 558, are Mathew (b. abt 1760), Hannah (b. abt 1762/3), and twins Mary and Sarah Covington, (b. abt 1776/7). When John Covington names these children in his will, the implication is that they are the children of his first wife. In neither document is his son William listed as the son of Hannah Dockery. John did have a son William by his second wife, Rachel Thomas, but he was born in 1777 and died 1858.
