After his family became large and the older children had left home, he removed to Windham, Vermont. ... The wife of Captain John Cole was Lois Davis, born October 12, 1742; died in Westmoreland, September 30, 1830, aged 88.
- ↑ This is estimated, based on the fact that Ethan was born in Vermont, but about his brother Sala, it says "Nearly all of his early life was spent in Windham, Windham county, Vermont." which presumably means he was not born there.
