Family:James Tompkins and Elizabeth Jackson (3)

If anyone knows of documented evidence of when and where Elizabeth and James married, I'd appreciate knowing about it.

It is possible that Mary Tompkins, wife of Joseph Sewell was their daughter.

   'Elizabeth [daughter of Joseph Jackson] m. James Tompkins, and settled in Virginia.'

   page 73.

   'Elizabeth Tompkins died in 1796.'

   There is no evidence that Elizabeth was the wife of James, but since she was likely an adult when she died (otherwise, she probably would not have been mentioned), it is not an unreasonable assumption to make.

   Elizabeth Tompkins is listed in the membership of the Three Forks Baptist Church between 1790 and 1800, several names after James Tompkins.
