On 24 Feb 1692/93, James Putnam of Salem and Sarah his wife sold to Caleb Boynton land "which formerly belonged to John Brocklebank deceased and was by him given to my wife Sarah". [Essex County Deeds 63:39]

  2. Estimated marriage date of about 1685 comes from "Brocklebank Genealogy" in Essex Antiquarian, p. 12:54, which is undoubtedly based on birth of daughter Sarah 6 Jan 1685/86, as reported by Eben Putnam's History of the Putnam Family, p. 66, for example.
