    (James Ensign married) by about 1631 Sarah ----- (assuming she was his only wife). … (The apparent gap of about eight years between the first two children of this immigrant might suggest that he had two wives. However, since the first child was called Sarah, and since the widow in her will calls the children of Sarah (Ensign) Rockwell her grandchildren, it is far more likely that Sarah was the only wife of James Ensign.)
