Jacob and Elizabeth were married in a German State (probably the Palatinate) and sailed to America in circa 1851. The voyage took 42 days. They settled in Massilon, Ohio. Two of their children were born there. Jacob was employed in a marble shop. Later, they moved to a farm one mile north, and one mile west of Urbana, Indiana. Their first house was a log cabin. Jacob spent the rest of his life as a farmer, and also operated a tile kiln southwest of Urbana. --White Creek 12:34, 3 August 2012 (EDT) References
