Mary Cochran Willis is the daughter of William and Margaret Cochran, found in Fincastle Co., VA. Fincastle Co., VA formed from Botetourt Co., VA. Botetourt Co., VA formed from Augusta Co., VA. According to Gordon Aronhime, William Cochran is the heir of Peter Cochran. Mary went to live with Henry Willis in 1773, the same year her father is listed as dying. Mary was born in 1759 in Augusta Co., VA. She had her last child in 1805. This line does not relate to William Cochran and Jemima Brane of Henry Co., VA. Their descendants moved to TN.
