The Vital Records of Salem^S1 are full of confusing and contradictory records for this family. The following table illustrates the problems and gives the assumptions about the correct value which were used (note: supplemented by baptism dates added from Records of the First Church of Salem, which are italized - see Source:Essex Institute Historical Collections (Essex Institute Press), p. 7:168-181). The assumptions chosen make the births come out spaced at fairly regular intervals.
