Glen L. Stewart, son of Roland and Rosie Stewart of Stuart, Iowa was born in Adair County, Iowa Feb. 18, 1913 and passed away at Las Vegas, Nev., Jan. 16, 1961 at the age of 47 years, 10 months and 16 days, as a result of an auto accident while on his way to work. He grew to manhood in and around Stuart, Iowa. Glen was baptized in the Methodist church, Menlo, Iowa at the age of 20 years. He was united in marriage to Lena Mae Shaefer on May 31, 1934. To this union 5 children were born. One son Keith Edward, 3 years old and Maxine May, infant, preceded him in death in 1939. Surviving are his wife, Lena, 2 daughters, Mrs. Alan Nevling, San Bernadino, Calif., Gayle Sue age 4 years, Steven Glen age 9 years. The earlier part of his married life he was engaged in farming. In 1952 he joined the carpenters union and worked at this trade until his death. Glen was a kind and loving father, always helping others in time of need. He was a good neighbor and friend and will be greatly missed by them. Five brothers and four sisters survive besides his parents. They are: Laurence, Henderson, Nev., Marion, San Bernardino, Calif., Earl, Waukee, Iowa, Floyd, Scotland S. D., David, Stuart, Iowa, Lucille Kuster, Casey Iowa; Ruby White, Henderson Nev., Pearl, Farcade, North Platte, Nebr., Edith Mae Bowen, Kansas City, Mo. Glen is also survived by nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at Bunker Brothers Chapel, Las Vegas, Nev., Thursday, Jan. 19. Interment was at Monecito, Memorial Park, San Bernardino, Calif.
