    7:229. The deed supports the fact of the marriage. Date is estimated based on the birth of their eldest son.

    Land sold to Lucy's brother, Joseph Wetmore, for $150. They were described in the deed as "both of Litchfield, town and county...the said Lucy being the wife of said Elihu." The land sold consisted of 8 acres, bounded east and west on the highway, south on land of Obed Stow and north on land of Joshua Stow, "it being land which formerly belonged to Joseph Wetmore decd who was father to said Lucy.
