Elizabeth's name is uniformly given as "Watson" online, but without reference to supporting documents.

In 1833, Elizabeth, widow of Daniel, conveyed interest in a over a dozen enslaved men and women to her children collectively, as directed in Daniel's will.[1] From those records, the children of Daniel and Elizabeth are identified as follows:

  • Daniel Jr. (deceased, as are his children)
  • Nancy (wife of Joseph Lewis) (b. ~1781)
  • Drury Smith (b. 1787)
  • Esther (b. ~1790; wife of 1) Stovall in 1810; 2) Richard Limay; d. bef 1837)
  • Elizabeth D. (b. ~1794, unmarried)
  • Alexander F. (b. ~1798)
  • Thomas Field (b. ~1800)

Elizabeth is listed alone with an older daughter (presumably Elizabeth D.) in the 1820 and 1830 censuses, with a substantial number of slaves and an age indicating she was born before 1760. She signed her will 16 Jun 1836, and it was presented for probate in August 1840. She presumably died before the 1840 census was taken, as the entry for Elizabeth Morrow is for a 40-something woman with "only" 18 slaves.
