Daniel Kilcommons was born August 1859 in NY (Source: 1900 NJ Census, Paterson, Passaic County, Roll 991 Bk 1, p. 281.), and died after 1919. He married Ellen Smith. She was born June 1864 in Pennsylvania, of a Scottish-born father and an Irish-born mother, and was dead by the time of the 1910 Census, when Daniel and his children were living in Paterson.

At the time of the 1900 census they were living in Paterson and he was a railroad conductor.

There is a Daniel Kilcommons boarding with Archibald and Lillian Smith in Jersey City in 1920. He is a 58-year-old widower and a conductor on the Pennsylvania Railroad.
