  1.   Benjamin's residence appears not to have changed since buying property in 1752. The property was in Brimfield Township, "lying Southerly from the Mudd pond (so called), taking in part of said pond", bounded "Easterly by Quinoboag River"1. "Mud pond was a small natural pond lying just west of the Quinnebaug channel, on the Partridge homestead."2 Mud Pond, or Partridge Pond as it was also called, "comprising about 4 acres, formerly existed just south of the center of the town [Holland], but has now been included in and covered by the Hamilton Reservoir, which was constructed in 1862..."3 (Link to Google maps since mapping to Brimfield will give the wrong location). Originally the area was governed from Brimfield, then the South Brimfield District was created, primarily to pay for a church, in 1762, and then the east part was incorporated as Holland in 1783. In 1785, Benjamin Perrin sold this parcel "situate in Holland" to John Perrin.4.
