Andrew's will mentions children David, James, Mary, William, Anderson, and Elinor, as well as "my grand=daughter Mary Margaret, daughter of Andrew Clendenen, Jr." It is unclear whether the latter is the "Anderson" of the first list.

In the 1850 census, Andrew, a. 82, is living in Perry, Hocking, Ohio with 3 Marys, a. 72, 42, and 18 [presumably wife, daughter, and granddaughter]. Andrew (a. 41) and William (a. 36) are in adjacent households.

The 1830 and 1820 censuses suggest that the family included 3 additional children (1 male, 2 female) not listed in Andrew's will. The baptism of Margret in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA appears, at first look, like a plausible match, as it lists Andrew as the father. However, the best matches in the 1800 and 1810 censuses put Andrew in Westmoreland County, and with no children at the 1800 census. Thus Margaret, and other children baptized in Lebanon County, are unlikely to be children of this Andrew. One missing daughter might be Sarah, who m. Ezra Manly Torrence in Fairfield, Ohio, on 6 Nov 1832; further work is needed to see if she died or moved away by 1850.
