Discussion

The above data includes variants of "Goss". It is possible that "Gose" and "Goss" are variants of "Gass", and persons show her are related to the early "Gass" Family of Castle's Woods (e.g., to Person:David Gass (2). However, there's no direct evidence that the Gass' remained in the area after about 1775. It is likely that the "Goss"/Gose" family is unrelated to the "Gass" family.

Document. Family Narrative of Stephen Yancy Gass, 1914 gives family history with a date of importation for the family as 1752. This would be inconsistent with descent from David Gass (2), whose father person:John Gass (1) is documented as dying in Pennsylvania in 1734.
