[add comment] [edit] Pages for living people [8 January 2022]Hi Welcome to WeRelate. I hope you find it a great place to contribute to genealogy. You might be aware that WeRelate doesn't allow pages for living people, which it defines as anyone born (or potentially born) in the last 110 years for whom there is no death date. The GEDCOM upload attempts to keep out pages for living people, but its edits currently don't cover all situations. I run a report to monitor for potentially living people, which includes people in trees with no dates. This report flagged the pages below, all of which need your attention. The following pages are not allowed because the people are considered to be living. I would suggest that you add a note to the family page of each set of parents to say how many children they had, and then delete the person pages of their children. Same information without violating WeRelate policy.
The following pages are a mix of questions and possibly living people. The page for Elizabeth has no context, and while it might be useful in your own database, is just confusing as a standalone page on WeRelate. For the Anna Flohre family, you've already suggested that she was Anthony's sister-in-law rather than his sister. If you think that is the case, the pages should be merged (or simply deleted). If she is the wife of Franz Flohre, than her grandson Georg is considered living, and his page has to be deleted if you don't have a death date. If you're not certain if she was the same person as Franz's wife, this may also be a case where the notes are better kept in your own database and not on WeRelate until you can find out more (or add a note on a relevant page to suggest the existence of an Anna Flohre if you think she might have existed as a separate person).
I hope you can take some time to address these issues. Whichever of these pages still show up on my report in a few weeks will be deleted to comply with WeRelate policy. Let me know if you have questions or need more time to chase down information. Thanks--DataAnalyst 18:58, 8 January 2022 (UTC) |
