Next step: Review your GEDCOM [18 October 2009]

You're not done yet!

WeRelate is different from most family tree websites. By contributing to WeRelate you are helping to create Pando for genealogy, a free, unified family tree that combines the best information from all contributors.

Now that you have uploaded Gedcom_2007.GED, your next step is to review what your pages will look like, review any potential warnings, and combine (merge) people in your GEDCOM with matching people already on WeRelate. You need to review your GEDCOM before it can finish importing.

Click here to review your GEDCOM

Once you have finished your review and marked your GEDCOM Ready to import, one of our administrators will review your GEDCOM and finalize the import. This usually happens within 24 hours. You will receive a message here when the pages have been created.

Error importing Gedcom_2007.GED [21 October 2009]

We had an error while attempting to import your GEDCOM. This is most likely our fault. We will review the error and should have your pages ready tomorrow (or Monday if tomorrow falls on a weekend). There is no need to re-import your GEDCOM file.

For questions or problems, leave a message for Dallan or send an email to dallan@WeRelate.org.

George and Mary, nee Wise, Leslie family Wellington Co., ON [30 September 2010]

Our family still farms in Puslinch Twp. and in 1983 we held the sesquicentennial of William Wade's land grant (150th. anniversary) at our farm. Descendants of most of the children were in attendance. There are no photographs of William Wade and Louise, of course, but many of their descendants. If there is interest in someone in particular, I can follow up.--Ardyne2 17:14, 30 September 2010 (EDT)

Latham family [19 November 2012]

Just wondering if you are the person who has done this page. Please let me know. Need to contact you in regards to using your sources and hard work. Shill--Shill 11:15, 19 November 2012 (EST)

Jacques history [7 September 2013]

I stumbled across this website today when doing some ancestry research. Thank you so much for all of the detail you have added. I am a descendant of Daniel, son of Lewis Jacques. It was quite hard to find any information about the Jacques family from New Brunswick, I really appreciate all of the stories and have used your information to help me figure out some more of my family tree.--Jlmann 03:13, 7 September 2013 (EDT)

Leslie family [15 October 2014]

Hi Jon,

We corresponded some years ago about the Leslie family. I hope this message finds you well. I am trying to get a copy of Darryl Davey's 2012 update - my contact information for him is out-of-date and I've had no responses. Can you help? Any idea how to reach him or get the updated book?

Thanks, Julie Wallace--Julie 02:16, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

Nay family research [29 March 2018]

Hello Jon -

My name is Jodine Nay, and my third great grandparents are Robert Nay (1811-1859) and Margaret McElwaine (1818-1887). I've been researching as much as possible (when time allows!), and am looking to connect to someone that may know more information about their origins in Ireland. From what I understand, they arrived in Canada in 1841, and I've been able to track some good information in Canada, but always interested in more. I'd love to nail down more info re Ireland.

If you are still interested in research, and tracking down some Nay family history, let me know!

FYI: My line:

Robert and Margaret, had William Nay (1843-1915) whose first wife was Jane Bawks (1847-1891).

William and Jane, had Robert Nay (1868-1933) who moved to Manitoba, and married Mary Jane Dempsey (1872-1965) in Manitoba.

Robert and Mary Jane, had Wilbert (1898-1979) who married (Mary) Laura Lamb (1916-1978). These were my grandparents. They lived in the Ninga / Killarney area of Manitoba.

Wilbert and Laura, had Murray Nay (1947-living) - my dad. Murray married Carol Anderson (1948-living) - my mom.
