Wm Garlick Meal Hill [12 January 2019]

We are related! If I have this right: Oscar's parents were Geo (1835) and Ruth. George's parents were George (1791)and Sarah. Tracing back my family line: My grandmother was Emma Beardsell. Her parents were Enoch Beardsell and Ann Garlick (1819-1886). Ann's parents were George(1791-1868) and Sarah. We are some kind of cousins.

It has been a while since I looked at the Home folks. I have been focusing on the Scotch-Irish relatives. So, my info may be a bit fuzzy. But this is exciting!! Betty--Betty22 21:11, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

Yes, it was a crofters cottage from what I gather. However, it is long gone. I did go to the spot where I believe it was...at an intersection of two lanes (one being Upper Lumbank). There is a tree (don't remember what kind) that provides evidence there may have been a garden or that it was planted there. Also, some violets as well. This was Enoch and Ann's home. John and Mary Garlick were with them in 1851.

I also have not gone back beyond William Garlick...YET.
