Surname and Place pages [16 April 2010]

Hi, I'm a volunteer admin for WeRelate. It's my job to patrol new user's edits. I needed to delete some of your pages and wanted to explain why. Surname pages are used by the search engine to find alternate and derivative spellings of a particular name. Your surname page was titled with listed a number of names that I assume were relatives of one of your ancestors. Place pages can be used for cities, towns, cemeteries, and larger political units. We don't have the storage capacity to store addresses for events. You may put those pictures and information directly on the relevant person or family pages. FrenchMartins_2015-07-07_update4.ged Imported Successfully [7 July 2015]

The pages from your GEDCOM have been generated successfully. You may now:

• launch the Family Tree Explorer to navigate your tree
• view your network -- If you matched families in your GEDCOM to existing families, find out to which other WeRelate users you are related.
• view related pages not in your tree -- If you matched families in your GEDCOM to existing families, find out which people you are now related to that you can add to your tree (takes awhile to display for large trees).
• view a searchable list of the pages in your tree -- The searchable list will be available about an hour after your tree has been imported.

James Martin and Lucille Strimple [10 June 2021]

Hi

I noticed you added 2021 as the death year for James Martin and Lucille Strimple. If this is a short-term measure until you can chase down actual death dates and sources, I'll hold off on deleting the pages for another month or so. Please enter a source when you find the actual death dates. If you need more time, please let me know. But if these people are still living, it is important to remove their pages, to protect their privacy and reduce the chance of identity theft. Thanks.--DataAnalyst 17:25, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
