Deanna - There is much discussion about the evolution of the Sheaves/Shaves name - depending on what records you look at Shad / Shade / Shave / Shaves / Sheaves can be used for the one individual. Twins started life as Shaves - one line continues today as Shaves but the other brother got married as Sheaves and to this day his line (now in Australia ) are Sheaves.I am descended from Abraham Shave(s).Jim Sheaves--Djsheave 17:05, 23 July 2009 (EDT)

John Wilks and Mary Silbey [26 May 2009]

Hi,

I only merged two pages together. I assume by red information, you are looking at the history screens. Any changed information would have just come from the pages being merged together, so if there was no net change, it means the two pages were essentially duplicates. I did not add any changes of my own, as I don't know anything about this family.

Regarding reading diff screen: Help:Tips#Diff_screen. The data is displayed in its XML format which isn't as pretty as on the edit screen but is readable enough to get an idea of what is there/added/deleted. --Jrich 14:47, 26 May 2009 (EDT)

Clark/Clarke Family from Stisted, Essex [6 February 2012]

Hi Deanna,

My name is Nick Clarke, I am currently researching my Family History, and my direct (paternal) line are from Stisted, Essex, so far I've managed to go back as far as James Clark(Abt 1757) & Sarah Prentice, (Marriage: 09 Sept 1783, All Saints Church, Stisted).

I have have some notes from a local historian, which I have been going through, have also tried SEAX (amongst the usual list of sources), my problem is that I live in West Yorkshire, so getting to the Essex Records Office is not convenient.

What I was wondering was, what is your link to the family (sorry for the directness of my question), and would you be prepared to share what information you have? (Btw do you live in Essex per chance?)

I look forward to hearing from you

Hello Nick

I'm sorry, I've never figured out how to use werelate.org so I didn't know that people could message me. I'm off work today and decided to try and figure it out and I see a message from you in 2010. I know I've come across your name in new.familysearch.org.

My 2nd great grandfather, James Hunwick of Pattiswick married Caroline Sibley of Stisted. As you are well aware there was lots of intermarrying within the same community and neighbouring communities. Due to researching the siblings, children and ancestors of this couple I have done quite a lot of research in this area of Essex and I've been to the ERO twice, even though I live in Alberta, Canada.

I am really looking forward to the digitizing that the ERO is doing and putting online the parish records.

Hi Deanna, not sure how this site works, but notice that you have been working on the pages concerning Daisy Irene Smith...... I am related to her and am trying to find out more about her family, If you could help me, I'd be so grateful, Thank you . Gail.--Gailk 16:37, 10 May 2011 (EDT)

Hello

I do not have anything on Daisy beside her date of birth, parents and her spouse. Her mother is a sister to my great uncle. I'd be happy to share what I have if you think it may help.
