  Cathy,
This is a new site for me so I'm still figuring out the ropes. But about John Gambrell: I had heard that he was a Scout with General Francis Marion, the "Swamp Fox" of the Revolutionary War. Would you know anything about that? I have some documentaion that he was with Marion, but not that he was a scout. My husband is a descendant of his through Mary Gambrell who married Mastin Nabors. Hoping to be able to share with you.

spruiellsgalore2007.ged Imported Successfully [9 August 2007]

The pages from your GEDCOM, "spruiellsgalore2007.ged" have been generated successfully. You may view them by launching the Family Tree Explorer and opening the family tree into which this GEDCOM was imported.

Finally! There were some problems getting the GEDCOM uploader to work on the new hardware, but it's working now. I hope you enjoy it!--Dallan 00:46, 10 August 2007 (EDT)

Lawley Family Needs Help [24 September 2009]

Calciscat,

You still around? We here at WeRelate are undergoing a massive de-duplication process in pursuit of the goal of getting one page per person and per family in the wiki. Family:Elisha_Lawley_and_Unknown_Lawley_(3) is something of a mess-- parents being children to themselves, duplication of other children. I attempted to pull the knots apart, but it's pretty confusing and should be attended to by someone more familiar with this line. Can you help out? Or advise us on how to tease these folks apart? Many thanks. Volunteer, jillaine 18:20, 24 September 2009 (EDT)

Information on Person Page [23 February 2010]

Hi Cathy, I am one of the Volunteer Administrator's at WeRelate. I noticed that you have some information on this person's page that is probably not pertinent to this family, and should probably be transfered to your User Page.

John Davis

The content that should probably be listed on your User Page is as follows:

Hello and thanks for your interest in my tree. My current areas of research are Crunk, Pierce, Sutherland, Slater, Blakemore, Smith, Brown, and Hewin. If you have information on these or other related lines please contact me. If you need informatio Just a word of advice because it has been a problem in the past. There have been some people posting postems that are expecting that I can reply to this. If you do this, the email is sent using my email address, so if I reply to it; I would be repl

Additionally, just because you see your information here doesn't mean that I am researching it and if you do see it and it comes to my attention and I am not researching the possiblity exist that I will be deleting it in the near future.

John Please read BEFORE you look at my online file: This is a gedcom from my primary genealogy file. It is a collection of the work of many people. Most of these people are noted in the source information. This is how this has become a collection of the Thank you. Person Pages should contain information regarding that family, including sources, records, maps, photographs and other sources of documentation.

Thanks and best regards,

Removing reason/dates from Living Champion (15) among others [2 July 2013]

Hi, I am part of the speedy delete team at WR. I noticed that several of the notices I placed on some people in your tree who are either named Living or appear to be living, you have removed the date and the reason I gave. Is there a reason for this?--Daniel Maxwell 00:01, 2 July 2013 (EDT)

sorry, did not know I had removed your notations. I am still a newbie with editing on this site. I was trying correct problems with "living" persons' data -- did not mean to cause any new problems.--Calciscat 01:16, 2 July 2013 (EDT)

No ma'am, you're fine. What the tags are for is to alert you that if the persons tagged are indeed dead, they need to have dates (and the names 'Living ____' changed to the proper name), otherwise they are at risk for deletion, as living people are not allowed on WR. If you need some help, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page Daniel Maxwell 02:22, 2 July 2013 (EDT)
