Place names [15 September 2007]

Hi, thanks so much for participating! I am an admin for WeRelate. Its my job to help people get the most out of WeRelate. You may be wondering your your place names links are red. This means that this place is not in the place index. This isn't bad, it just means that that your event will not show up on the pedigree map or be indexed in a place category. If this is a well known place, chances are it's in the index but listed differently. Type in the town, county, or district followed by a comma. Wait a few moments and a list of all the possible places in the index will drop down. Many places change their names even countries, these renamed places will appear at top of the list. Scroll down to your place and click on it. If your place is not on the list, type in Town, County, Country (do not use abbreviations) and save the page. When you click on the red link you can create a new place page for that place. If you include the latitude and longitude or if it is contained in a county or country already in the system, it will appear on your pedigree map.--sq 13:46, 15 September 2007 (EDT)

Duplicate Pages [24 September 2007]

Hi! Thanks for using WeRelate. I'm a volunteer administrator and want to help you eliminate some of your duplicate pages pertaining to the Judson King and Lydia Prince (1) family. Perhaps some of these people were duplicated in your gedcom file when you uploaded it to WeRelate. No matter, I noticed that you also have some family pages with one of the pair of parentheses marks missing. When this typo happens, another page is created, which can lead to creating near duplicates of other pages. However, since I don't know all the facts about your families, I'm reluctant to make the needed changes.

For example, Family:Judson King and Lydia Prince 1) (1) was created as a duplicate to Family:Judson King and Lydia Prince (1),

and, Family:John Vought and Lydia Prince (2 (1) is another typo, which led to a duplicate page. However, there is different incomplete information on some of these pages, so one cannot be redirected to the other. Apparently, there should two Judson King Person pages, but not seven.

Let's work together to unravel these duplicate pages. --Dquass 21:57, 24 September 2007 (EDT)

Your Hezekiah Doane [20 August 2008]

Your Hezekiah Doane married to Hannah Snow is Hezekiah Doane, Sr., son of Ephraim Doane, son of Deacon John Doane. There is information on them in WeRelate pages, as well as all over the web (just do an Internet-wide search). (example: http://daynesfamilytree.netfirms.com/johndoanefamilytree.htm) Look up the Doane Family Association (DFA) online, and join their list. They have all the documentation as well. (http://www.doanefamilyassociation.org/ and http://www.doane.edu/About_Doane/Info/Doane_Family/) Information on Hannah Snow is also plentiful. Some listings show these people with surname spelled Doan or Done.--Dougcouch 00:40, 20 August 2008 (EDT)

King Family [5 January 2021]

Hello! I am new to all this and learning how to add new people onto pages. I am a descendant of Jonathan King (Born 1793) and have his children’s names and so on and will be adding them all in if it is of any interest to you.--Natek1212 19:46, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
