GEDCOM problem [6 April 2009]

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that we're experiencing a problem importing your GEDCOM. It's late in the US, but the GEDCOM upload programmer is planning to look into the problem tomorrow. You don't need to do anything; just be patient and your GEDCOM should be imported sometime tomorrow. We'll leave a message here as soon as it is. Thank you!--Dallan 22:09, 6 April 2009 (EDT)

Thanks for Changes [27 August 2009]

Copied from my user page.

Hi Beth, Thanks for the changes to the Egerton-Warburton pages. What a wealth of info you have added! I am not all that familiar with the process on this rather cumbersome website, having only joined recently. Can you tell me if the changes/additions you have made are now permanent, or do I have to do something to make them so?

The Egerton-Warburtons have a privately published history of the family of which I have a copy. Where are you in the world? I am in Brisbane, Australia. I am related to the Egerton-Warburtons through Celia Egerton-Warburton, nee Robinson, b1917 d2009, who was my mother's sister.

I look forward to hearing from you, maybe we can pursue a dialogue, as they say?

Regards, Richard Allberry (b1940!)--Allberry 20:00, 23 August 2009 (EDT)

Hi Richard, happy that WeRelate helped you. The changes are permanent unless someone else disagrees, but if they do you would be notified. Sorry but I am not a member of this family. I am a volunteer administrator on WeRelate and I merged duplicate pages. Do your pages now show anyone else watching the pages? If not I know that User:Samwilson's pages were also part of the merge so try and contact him. I am in Auburn, Alabama in the United States; small world isn't it. WeRelate is still in Beta and we welcome any suggestions for improvement. Thanks so much. Great to hear from you. If you have more questions send me another message. Warmest regards, --Beth23 August 2009 (EDT)--Beth 20:37, 23 August 2009 (EDT)

Yes, hullo! Richard, I just replied to you on my talk page. Oh, and I'm in Western Australia, by the way.  :-) —Samwilson 05:54, 27 August 2009 (EDT)

[4 September 2011]

Hello Mr Allberry. I happened to see your post left in August 2009 regarding the family tree for Celia Egerton-Warburton. I am interested in the family connection, but my research reflates to the ownership of the home i live in. I live in Subiaco WA and Celia Egerton-Warburton owned my house 1959-1962. Prior to that Eric Allberry owned it 1957-1959.

Do you know about what Property I refer to? In Subiaco? I refember some 30 years ago Nigel Allberry knocked on the door, but at the time i don't remember what happened....

I would be most keen to hear any stories about the house if you wish to write to me. dodger@iinet.net.au

Annie Celia Roubel Stone [18 October 2011]

Hello

I am researching my parents history and subsequently found this web site. My mother is Valerie Roubel Campbell (nee Gee). She is the last in this line with Roubel in her name

Anyway I found reference to Celia Roubel Small in a newspaper and she is a grandmother of Annie

Is there any information you need or can we exchange info.... I have the benefit of Nick Vine-Halls work in his tracing the family back to the 1500s (He is deceased but there is a web site which lists all names - try www.vinehall.com.au Whoever runs that web site may even still have a CD for sale. The CD is just a large number of PDF files, but the info is certainly there.

I have info on Ernest Gordon Stone & Annie and Ronald William Stone and so on down the line, but nothing about Ernest's parents.

Regards

Eliza Ann Albery [29 September 2014]

Hi Richard, My Mother Ione Hobbs of Hertfordshire recently gave me a letter she wrote in 1997 as follows:

Dear Mrs Albery, I am trying to make a family tree, and have discovered that my Great Grandfather married an Eliza Ann Albery, and his brother George (both BACK) married a Martha Albery, who sadly died when her son Alfred was only 4 weeks old. I wonder if any mamberof your family might have any photographs in their possession of Eliza Ann or Martha/ Also if you have any information these two ladies, I would be really grateful to learn more about them. George Back sent his son Alfred to Australia in about 1870 when he was 16 years old, where there is now a large on-going family, who are keen to learn of their forebears. I look forward with hope of learning something for a memner of your family, especially for the Australian relatives. I do have in my possession some correspondence between my Grandfather Louis Alfred Back and a mamber of your family. He was unfortunately, an unsucessful poet or writer!!! Thank you for taking time to answer this letter, Yours sincerely Ione Hobbs (Mrs).

My Mum has spent a great deal of time creating a huge family tree of her family over the last 20 years or so. She is 88 now.

I have a copy of this tree on my computer if you would like to see it.
