I am actively researching all the direct ancestors of my children, with an emphasis on tracing all lines back to the point of immigration into what is now the United States. I am also researching all the descendants of select ancestors, especially the Streeter family of Dunnings Farm, East Grinstead, Sussex, England, as well as certain "immigrant" ancestors to Steuben County, New York, United States.

My first ancestor to reside in what is now Steuben County, New York, United States was Thomas1 Streeter (1754-1831); he settled at "New Providence" (which now encompasses the hamlet of Kanona within the Town of Bath) late in 1794, before the county was formed from Ontario in 1796.
