My name is Paul Souverein, born 1947 in Amsterdam, married with 2 children, now living in Breukelen, Utrecht. My ancestors on father's side are Souverein/Severin/various other orthographies, mostly from Harlingen-Friesland-The Netherlands. However the earlier one (18th century) Johannes Sifferin Dahs (also known as Johannes Severein (etc) Daas) is said to be born around 1750 in Hamburg Germany and to be in Harlingen around 1780/1785, he would have been a "chirurgijn" (source transcript members Evang.Luth.Kerk, Harlingen, August 1786). He was married to Johanna van Aarssen (also various orthographs like Van Aerssen, Van Arssen, even Van Asperen), baptised Harlingen 1754 (marriage certificate not found!). They had 4 children, the last 3 born in Harlingen, among whom my ancestor Magnus, born Harlingen 1787. However the first one, daughter, Johanna Maria (Marianne) was born in West Munster! (1783) (source Drenlias, because of her move from Harlingen -with family- to Drenthe). Mysteries for me until now: how come 1st daughter born in West Munster (and which Munster (ohne Umlaut)?), how can I find details on birth and marriage of Johannes, and details of his ancestors. NB: I have details of ancestors of Johanna van Aarssen (received through FrieslandGenealogy). NB2: my ancestors on mother's side (surname Van de Vorst) are from south east Brabant/mid-Limburg (Nuenen / Weert)
