My gg-grandfather was, Donald Mcdonell, born in Ontario, Canada about 1799. In 1823 he married Sarah Cameron in East Nissouri, Oxford county, Ontario,Canada. The surname changed in the following generations to my father Cameron Frank MacDonald was born in 1913 in Thamesford, Oxford, Ontario. Looking for information about Donald's parents and siblings.
Dad's mother was Mabel Shorter who immigrated from England about 1910. I have some information on the Shorter family in England.
On mothers side are the Vandermark family, with numerous spellings, who came from Holland the late 1600's to New York and eventually Michigan
John Kazmier was my mothers dad who immigrated to the US from Poland in 1910. I know very little about him.
Primary surnames I'm research are Mcdonell/McDonald/MacDonald from Canada and Scotland; Vandermarks in Michigan, New York from Holland; Kazmier from Poland and the Shorter family from Canada and England.
Other surnames of interest include the Willett's from Kentucky (wife's family)
