STACKHOUSE I descend from the John Stackhouse line, of Bucks County, PA to Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., PA and Altoona, PA. Biggest 'brick wall' is linking Thomas Stackhouse [b circa 1768] and his wife Catherine to John Stackhouse and Elizabeth Buckingham. Catherine's obituaries say her husband served in the War of 1812, but no Thomas Stackhouse appears in the NARA database. Catherine's father served in the Revolutionary War, but there's no indication what her maiden name might have been.

CROTHERS I'm related to James CROTHERS who was born in PA circa 1810, lived in Niagara NY in the 1830's, and moved to Ontario - perhaps with Mennonites. (Some of the children's census entries show mother born Germany) I cannot locate his birth or marriage with any assurance. His son said he died in 1888, but I cannot locate his death, either.

SLAYTON I'm related to the Northern Slayton line, through Thomas and Susanna Dake Slayton. My line went to Michigan with the group of Dake families. (Worthing, Raynale, Morton) I'm currently working on sorting the McCready connection, to establish why Pluma Slayton (dau of Thomas and Susanna, b. 1802) was in Indiana when she married. Her sister, Susanna, married Thomas McCready, and some McCready children were born in Indiana circa 1818-1820.

If anyone might have information on any of these lines, I would sincerely appreciate any help - and I'm certainly willing to share information, as well.
