Hello. I started researching my family history in about 1978 and have done work on all of the various ancestral lines I have been able to identify. At the moment I am focusing on the Montgomery family since it is my surname line. Thanks to yDNA I think I am approaching a breakthrough, though I am still looking for more documentation. As far as surnames, the major paternal lines are MONTGOMERY, EARP, STOGSDILL, LOWE, MICHAEL, ROOT and GREEN, on the maternal side, FRITZ, BAUMAN, NIMS, SMITH, FINLAY, MACKEY, ROBAR and RICHARDSON. There are many more, but that is the right side of my first 5-generation chart.
