My name is Juanita Ellen Snider Sutphin. I was born and raised in Craig County, Virginia when I was very young and then in Manassas, Virginia for a year then in 1964, my family moved to Christiansburg, Virginia and we have lived here since then. I started researching my family history many years ago when I fell in love with the computer and later the internet. I love finding history and stories of my family. My mother, Dorothy Ellen Salyers Snider was born in Russell County, Virginia on a mountain she called, Sandy Ridge. She was born June 6, 1934. There is so much more to tell but I will add more later.

One thing I want to say is that I have been kinda obsessed concerning my Great-Grandfather on my Mother's side. His name was William Franklin Greenfield and he was originally from Caldwell County, North Carolina. When my Grandmother, Mary Lula Greenfield Salyers was born her mother died in childbirth. William disappeared after that. I want to know what happeded to him. Where did he go? Where is his final resting place? I do know his father's name was also William and he had several brother's and sister's. He was also married before he married my Great-Grandmother, Martisha Cook Greenfield.
