Image:/Users/turbevillc07/Pictures/Photo Booth/Photo 1.jpgI was born in Charleston, South Carolina but was raised in Tabor City, North Carolina by my maternal Grandmother on my Roberts side of the family (long story). After graduating from High School in 1975 I joined the Army serving in the 82nd Airborne as a Cavalry Scout, and then as an Air Traffic Controller (Desert Storm Veteran) and finally as a First Sergeant of an Aviation Company (6th Cavalry) before retiring with 20 years service. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree while in the military which helped me become a teacher with the Troops to Teacher program. I began teaching in 1995 and have taught Kindergarten through Third Grade. I completed my Masters in Education degree in 2005 and earned a promotion as the Curriculum Instructional Specialist on my campus in 1997. I have been researching my family (part of the long story) since 1979 and have always been deep into technology starting with the Commodore 64. Here I sit today 30 years later with a MacBook Pro, iPad, and an iPhone 4 and loving every minute of it.
