"In the latter year" is an ambiguous reference, apparently interpreted by earlier readers of this page as the second mentioned year, which was 1669, but actually meaning latter in time, i.e., 1678, as reference to Newbury Vital Records, p. 2:486 clearly shows, and the birth of the first child - not until 1679 - suggests. For a writer whose style is normally so parsimonious, Savage should have saved a few characters, and explicitly said 1678, instead of his poorly chosen ambiguous reference. --Jrich 05:46, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
