Robert, m. 24 Dec. 1685, Hannah Fowler, perhaps d. of Thomas, had
Jarvis, b. 2 Oct. 1686; Hannah, 3 Mar. 1689; Elizabeth 3 Sept. 1692, and
Oliver, 17 June 1698. JOHN, perhaps of Salisbury, came in the Bevis
1638, from Southampton, was a carpenter. JOHN, Ipswich, m. 18 Nov.
1664, Mary, eldest d. of Thomas Bray of Gloucester, rem. thither, perhaps,
bef. 1697, or at least his w. there d. 11 Apr. 1725, aged 7, and the
prob. had William, Daniel, and David, possib. also, John. JOHN, Salisbury,
s. of Robert, by w. Priscilla had Moses, b. 30 Apr. 1692. ROBERT,
Salisbury, one of the first sett. came in the Bevis, 1638, from
Southampton, as serv. of Richard Austin, was perhaps br. of John,
freem. 9 Oct. 1640, by w. Eliz. had Martha, b. 12 Dec. 1654; Jarvis,
Feb. 1658; John, 17 Feb. 1662; and Joseph, 3 Aug. 1664. THOMAS,
had been of Salem, perhaps in 1637, was after of Exeter, there d. 1667.

    RIPLEY, ABRAHAM, Hingham, s. of William, brot. by his f. from Eng.
freem. 1656, m. Mary, eldest d. of Joseph Farnsworth of Dorchester,
wh. outliv. him, and, 1684, m. Edward Jenkins of Scituate. JOHN,
Hingham, elder s. of William, b. in Eng. m. Elizabeth eldest d. of Rev.
Peter Hobart
, was freem. 1656, and d. soon after date of his will, 31
Jan. 1684, in wh. he names ch. only, John, b. 2 Mar. 1657; Joshua,
Jeremiah, Josiah, Peter, and Hezekiah. JOSHUA, Hingham, s. of the
preced.
m. 28 Nov. 1682, Hannah, d. of Dept. Gov. William Bradford.
JOSIAH, Hingham, br. of the preced. by w. Joanna had Mary, b. 18
Feb. 1695. WILLIAM, Hingham 1638, came, as by the contempo. MS.
of his townsman, Daniel Cushing, we learn, with w. and two s. and two
ds. from Hingham, Co. Norfolk, Eng. was freem. 18 May, 1642, m. 29
Sept. 1654, as sec. w. Elizabeth wid. of Thomas Thaxter, and d. 20 July
1656. His will of 30 June preced. abstr. in Geneal. Reg. VI. 354, is
minute eno. as to the geogr. of his lds. but names no relat. exc. the two
s. wh. are made excors. His d. Sarah m. 18 Oct. 1653, Jeremiah Beal,
but neither she nor the other d. nor w. are ment. The latter m. 20 Jan.
1658, John Dwight of Dedham. One WILLIAM, was of Gallop's comp.
for the sad campaign against Quebec, 1690. Nine of this name had
been, in 1834, gr. at Yale, five at Harv. and six at other N. E. coll.

    RISCRRAFT, RICHARD, Northampton, took the o. of alleg. 8 Feb. 1679.

    RISDEN, ELISHA, Milford, 1678, s. of Robert, perhaps rem. ROBERT,
Boston 1654, mariner, by w. Beatrice, had Elisha, b. 25 Jan. 1655; and
Sarah, 29 May 1662, rem. to Fairfield, there with w. d. a. 1666, leav.
five ch. wh only Elisha is nam. He own beside prop. at F. est. at
the isle of Nevis, sold by guardians of the ch. wh.in 1678, desired to
abrog. the contr.
