very many yrs; m. 19 Oct. 1658, Elizabeth d. of Richard Booth, had
John, b. 9 Sept. 1659; Thomas, 29 May 1662; Hannah, 2 Aug. 1664;
Elizabeth 16 Jan. 1667; Grace, 20 Sept. 1670; Joseph, 4 Mar. 1673;
Ephraim, 24 Oct. 1675; Sarah, 19 June 1678; Abigail, 6 Feb. 1681;
and Joanna, bapt. July 1683; and he d. 17 Sept. 1719 but the wid. liv.
to 24 Oct. 1732, prob. 92 or 3 yrs. JOSEPH, Stonington, br. of
Ephriam, freem. 1666, m. 23 Oct. 1668, Mary, d. of James Avery,
by wh. he had eight ch. and one more by sec. w. Bridget, wid. of
William Thompson. They were Joseph, b. 19 Sept. 1669; Mary, 6
Oct. 1671; Benjamin, 25 June 1676; Deborah, and Sarah, perhaps tw.
bapt. 30 Mar. 1679; Christopher; Joanna; Prudence; and Bridget; but I
doubt sev. dates of the fam. geneal. and I gain neither dates of m. nor
d. of sec. w. nor of his d. Prob. he and John were of Woodbury
1690. MANASSEH, New London, 1671, seventh s. of [[|Thomas of the
same, said to be the first male white, b. in that town, rem. to Stonington,
m. 26 Sept. 1670, Lydia Moore, whose f. is not kn. had Hannah, b. 3
Nov. 1677; and Thomas, 1683, was deac. and d. 29 Apr. 1728, aged 81.
SAMUEL, youngest s. of Thomas, m. 1681, Mary Lord, and d. next
yr. THOMAS, Charlestown, 1632, s. of William[1] of Chew Magna,
in Co. Somerset, one of the found. of the ch. in Frothingham, 70, as
well as Budington, 184, said to be dism. for that purpose from Boston
ch. 14 Oct. of that yr. but tho. the rec. at C. supports them, his name is
not in the list of Boston mem. in the surv. copy of our first ch.; freem.
4 Mar. 1634, rem. to Saybrook, thence to New London soon aft. 1645,
d. m. 23 Apr. 1634, Grace, eldest d. of Walter Palmer, had sev. ch. but
not all, bef. rem. They were John, bapt. 30 Aug. 1635; Thomas, b. 1638,
d. young; Clement, b. 27 Apr. 1642; Manasseh, 1647; Ephraim, 1642;
Joseph, 1636; Judah, 1644; Samuel, 1652; Ann, 1649; Elizabeth 1653, d.
young; Eunice, if the true name be not Hannah; and Mary, 1655. He
was a very valua. man, rep. 1650 and 1, perhaps 65, 70, and 3,
for Stonington, but I doubt, some of the latter honors belong to his
s. of the same name, and prob. Hinman, who makes him town clk.
of Woodbury for 30 yrs. from 1674, makes the same mistake in pp.
54, 153, and 222. The f. was the oldest gr.stone at Stonington shows,
d. 23 Oct. 1690, aged 83; and his w. d. the same yr. Hannah, the only
d. that liv. to mid. age, m. 1677, Thomas Avery. A diary kept by
him for sev. yrs. furnish. some good informat. Sometimes in Conn.
this name is Myner; and in 1834 nine of the fam. had been gr. at Yale.

    MINORD, JAMES, Boston, by w. Mary had Amander, a s. b. Sept.
1645.

    MINOT, GEORGE, Dorchester, of Thomas, b. 4 Aug. 1594, at
Saffron Walden, Co. Essex, was an early sett. tho. not of 1630, as
Harris gives, freem. 1 Apr. 1634, rep. 1635 and 6, rul. elder 30 yrs. d.
24 Dec. 1671. By w. Martha he had John b. 2 Apr. 1626; James, 31
Dec. 1628; Stephen, 2 May 1631; all b. in Eng.; and Samuel, 18
Dec 1635. His w. d. 23 Dec. 1657, aged a. GEORGE, Dorchester,
s. of James, freem. 1690, was capt. 1688, in com. of one of the comps.
at Pemaquid, 1689. JAMES, Dorchester, s. of the first George, b. in
Eng. m. 9 Dec. 1653, Hannah, d. of Israel Stoughton, had Israel, b. 18
Oct. 1654, d. young; George, 14 Nov. 1655, bef. ment.; Hannah, 1657,
