William, was propound. for freem. 1672. WILLIAM, Salem 1636, a
cutler, said to have been b. a. 1590, freem. 6 Sept. 1639, was constable
next yr. and rec. more liberal than tradit. absurd. says, 97th.; perhaps
had w. Mary, d. 14 Jan. 1673, wild tradit. says in his 96th yr.
WILLIAM, Salem 1670, a relat. not s. of the preced. had William,
and Abigail, wh. m. 28 Dec. 1671 Samuel Gray. But ano. WILLIAM of
Salem may be the kinsm. ment. in the will of first William; and this by w.

Joseph, Sept. 1656; Benjamin; Daniel; James; Samuel; and three
more ds. 14 ch.; and d. 17 May 1678. WILLIAM, Salem, s. of the
sec. William of the same m. 7 Apr. 1680, Mary Moulton, perhaps d.
of the first Robert of S. had William, b. 3 Feb. foll. and Abigail, 21
Dec. 1682. WILLIAM, Haddam, eldest s. of William of Saybrook,
m. Sarah, prob. d. of Thomas Shaler, and d. 4 Dec. 1696, leav. s.
William, aged 16; Jonathan, 11; Nathaniel, 9; John, 3; and ds. Mary,
18; Sarah, 14; Hannah, 7; and Dorothy, 7 mos. in Mar. aft. Of this
name, five had been gr. at Harv. nineteen at Yale, and eight at other
N. E. coll. in 1834.

1684. He d. 10 Mar. 1716, his w. hav. d. 17 July 1714. CALEB,
Plymouth, s. of the sec. Thomas, m. 7 Aug. 1696, Lydia, d. of Edward
Gray, had Caleb, b. 7 June 1697, d. early; Hannah, 7 Aug. 1698;
Ignatius, 27 Dec. 1699; Polycarpus, 1702; rem. to Plimpton, there had
Caleb, again, 2 Oct. 1704, d. at 19 yrs.; Lydia, 1706, d. soon; Jacob,

same yr. He m. 15 Feb. 1719, Susanna Coxe, had Caleb, b. 1720, d.
soon; Susanna, 1 June 1721; Sarah, 23 Mar. 1723; and this w. d. 8
Apr. foll. He m. 3d w. 6 Feb. 1732, Rebecca Lobdell, had Rebecca,
29 Dec. 1733; Caleb, again, 1736; Joshua, Dec. 1737; Rachel, 1740;
Israel, 30 Aug. 1741; Joseph, July 1743; Mary, 1745; Cromwell,
1747, d. at 7 yrs.; and Celia, 1749. Of this branch is Charles G. L.
the disting. advocate at the Boston bar. DANIEL, Boston, br. of the
preced. m. 2 Feb. 1699, Priscilla Mann, had Sarah, b. 15 Nov. 1701, d.
next yr.; Daniel, 5 Oct. 1703, d. at 18 yrs.; Isaac, 30 Nov. 1705;
