Aaron, 1710; and d. 1739.

    CAFFINGE, CAFFINCH, CAFFINS or CEFFINCH, JOHN, Guilford 1639,
an orig. prop. as in Trumbull, I. 107. He was of New Haven 1643, a
man of some import. m. perhaps, Mary, d. of the first William Fowler,
had Sarah, b. 4, bapt. 9 Mar. 1651; Mary, bapt. 9 July 1654; and
Elizabeth bapt. 8 Feb. 1657. SAMUEL, New Haven, younger br. of the
preced. adm. freem. of the Col. 1649. THOMAS, New Haven, br.
of the two preced. had good est. d. early in 1647, leav. John, his br.
to be excor. of his will.

had Jonathan, b. 27 Mar. 1640; Nathaniel, 5 Aug. 1642; Deborah;
Ruth, 6 Dec. 1647; and Esther, wh. were all bapt. there, and outliv. the f.
JONATHAN, Cambridge, s. of the preced. m. 14 May 1674, Deborah
Welsh, wh. d. 18 Oct. 1689, aged 56, and he d. 18 Mar. 1695, or 6, the
gr.stone being uncert.

    CAKEBREAD, ISAAC, Springfield, perhaps, s. of Thomas, had first
been of Weymouth, as a soldier serv. in Philip's war on Conn. riv. m.
1677, Hepzibah Jones, had Hepzibah; Isaac, b. 1680; Rebecca, 1683, d.
young; and Margaret; was freem. 1678, rem. to Suffield, and after to
Hartford, there d. 1698, leav. Isaac, wh. d. 1712, and the name ceas.
in that region. THOMAS, Watertown, freem. 14 May 1634, ar. co.
1637, m. Sarah, d. of Nicholas Busby;[1] rem. for short time to Dedham,
after to Sudbury, there d. 4 Jan. 1643, His wid. m. capt. John Dedham,
and d.[2] Sarah m. 7 Nov. 1649, at S. Philimon Whale. THOMAS, Salem,
a capt. had permiss. "by [the] Gen. Ct." says Felt (Ann. of Salem, I. 194,
Ed. 2), to take from the fort, two small guns for security against Turk.
pirates, prob. in a voyage to Spain, 1644. Yet in Vol. II. 231, the date
is giv. 1641, wh. is wrong, as also the name, right at first, but at page
634 corrected into error, as Bond, 733, shows.

    CALDWELL, JOHN, Ipswich 1654, freem. 1677, m. Sarah, d. of John
Dillingham, had Sarah, b. 2 Apr. 1658; John; Ann, 23 Aug. 1661;
Dillingham, 6 May 1667; William, 18 Oct. 1669; Mary, 26 Feb. 1672;
and Eliz. 15 Oct. 1675. All these ch. were liv. when he d. 28 Sept.
