Ewer, shows £405. 16s. His wid. became sec. w. of Nicholas Easton,
and d. 20 Feb. 1665. No ch. of B. is seen on any rec. tho. Frothingham,
80, thinks Dr. Lyman Beecher, Y. C. 1797, a descend. prob. on
recent suggest. But the progenit. of this disting. fam. was Isaac.

    BEEFORD, RICHARD, Gloucester 1643, by w. Mary had John, b. 26
Oct. Mary, 26 June, Hannah, 25 Jan. but in either case the rec. gives
not yr. yet allows us to assume that they were all bapt. 1647, and the roll
goes on, Ruth, b. 23 Mar. 1648; Nathaniel, 30 Apr. 1650; and Richard,
the last week of Apr. 1653.

    BEERS or BEERE, ANTHONY, Watertown 1646, by w Elizabeth had
Samuel, b. 9 May 1647, d. soon; Ephraim, 5 July 1648; John, 20 Jan.
1652; Esther, 16 Oct. 1654; and Samuel, 2 May 1657, d. at four mos.
beside three earlier ds. as Bond thinks, Elizabeth wh. m. 7 Apr. 1663, Henry
Gooddin; Bethia, wh. m. 25 or 27 Mar. 1664, David, or Daniel Mettup,
Medup, Medap, or Meddup, dates as well as names various in Bond;
and Mary, wh. m. 1, or 19 Apr. 1665, John Smith; and was freem.
1657; rem. to Roxbury, and had Barnabas, 6 Sept. bapt. 17 Oct. 1658;
rem. again to Fairfield, there was drown. bef. 1676. BARNABAS, Stratford,
s. of Anthony, m. Apr. 1688, Elizabeth d. of John Wilcockson, had Mary,
b. 5 Dec. 1689; Nathan, 1691; Josiah, Aug. 1693; and his w. d. Oct. 1694.
ELIEZUR, Watertown, s. (Bond thinks eldest) of Capt. Richard, m. late in life,
21 Apr. 1690, Susanna, d. of Robert Harrington, wid. of John Cutting, and
d. without issue, 5 Dec. 1701. His wid. m. 2, or 21 Jan. 1705 (Bond
gives both dates), Peter Cloyes. ELNATHAN, Watertown, br. of the
preced.
m. a. 1681, Sarah, d. of Joseph Tainter, had Mary, b. Mar.
1682, d. soon; Richard, Feb. 1683, d. soon; Simon, 19 July 1684;
Mary, again, 11 Feb. 1688; and Richard, again, 17 Feb. 1631. HENRY,
Newport, perhaps br. of John of the same, m. 20 Sept. 1668, Patience,
d. of Richard Scott, had Henry, b. 7 Sept. 1673; Catharine, 22 Oct.
1675; John, 29 Dec. 1678; Catharine, again, 25 Feb. 1681; Charles, 4
Sept. 1683; and Mary, 15 Sept. 1684. JAMES, Fairfield 1639, was not,
in my opin. s. of Capt. Richard, as Cothren thinks (tho. he may have
been br.), had good est. and d. Nov. 1694, leav. by his will, w. Martha;
ds. Martha, w. of Joseph Bulkley; Deborah, w. of Samuel Hull; Elizabeth
w. of John Darling; s. Joseph; and childr. of s. James, then dec. and
his wid. Martha d. Feb. 1698. JAMES, Fairfield, s. of the preced. d.
1691, leav. ch. James, David, Sarah, and Mary. JOHN, Newport,
was s. of Edward in Co. Dorset, m. 4 Sept. 1664, Patience, d. of
Thomas Clifton, had Mary, b. 6 Aug. 1666; Edward, 1 Aug. 1669;
and Patience, 6 Sept. 1671; and he d. that yr. at sea. JOHN, Gloucester,
m. 20 Jan. 1673 Mary Fowler, had Joseph, b. 7 Dec. 1675.
