births of their children, and also the following entry: " Friends* Meeting- was held at Jacob Doughty's on Cow Neck from 1703 till 1708 when he having removed away, Meeting was afterwards held at Ri. Cornwall's." He removed to Flushing, where he lived till 1713. when he removed with his family to Burlington County, New Jersey, in which vicinity he subsequently lived.

A deed of Daniel Whitehead is recorded at Jamaica, New York, dated April 28, 1699, wherein he gives a farm to his son-in- law Jacob Doughty and his daughter. Amy, wife of said Jacob. The farm was in town of Hempstead and probably was the farm on Cow Neck.

1716. Jacob Doughty was member of Assembly for Burling- ton Co., New Jersey.

By deeds on record at Flemington, New Jersey, it appears that Jacob Doughty of Bethlehem, Hunterden County, New Jersey, conveyed March 20, 1733, to Samuel Large, Samuel Wil- son, John Stevenson, Edward Rockhill, and Joseph King, for the nominal sum of forty shillings a part of the land he bought 1729 (which was bounded by land in possession of Daniel Doughty), and which they conveyed the next day to the Monthly Meeting of Quakers at Crosswicke, Burlington County, New Jersey.

Jacob Doughty's will is on record at Trenton, New Jersey, signed July 2, 1737, and proven at Burlington, New Jersey, August 12, of the same year. In it, Jacob Doughty of Bethle- hem, Hunterden County, New Jersey, devises his estate to his wife Amy, giving legacies to his son Daniel and his daughter Deborah.

The will of Mrs. Amy Doughty, late of Bethlehem, Hunter- den County, widow, is on record in Philadelphia, Pa. It is dated 7th day of 2nd month, called April, 1742, and proved on the 2 of August, of same year. In it she gives legacies to her children and grandchildren.

The following list of their children is furnished by Mr, Barclay White of Mount Holly, New Jersey, who is a lineal de- scendant of Jacob Doughty and who certifies that it is a correct copy of the record in the family bible of Daniel Doughty which is now in his possessian.

The dates being given in "olde style" allowance must be made as follows: The year began the 25th March, which is called the first month, April the second month, and so on to the twelfth month, February. Eleven days should be added to correspond exactly with our modern dates, but for the purpose of this record this change is not made. Old stile:
