The above is a true copy of a record in Daniel Doughty's fam- ily Bible, now in my possession.

The last figure of the year of Jacob Doughty, Jr.'s, birth is ommitted in the original.

Marriages and deaths of Jacob Doughty's family are not re- corded in said Bible.

12. William Doughty (son of Elias Doughty and Sarah, his wife), born at Flushing, Queens County, New York, about 1676; married at Flushing, Queens County, New York, about 1709, Phebe Taylor, born at Flushing, Queens County, New York (daughter of Henry Taylor of Flushing). She died Jan. 10, 1714. He probably removed after her death to Jamaica, Queens County, New York, where we find a Justice of that name living 1719-1723.
