Source talk:Oostdongeradeel, Friesland, Netherlands. Burgerlijke Stand

Watchers

as from 1811-1816 there were 3 places for the official Burgerlijke Stand: Anjum, Ee and Metslawier. Only from 1817 it's just Oostdongeradeel. Does this need to enter new sources? --Klaas (Ekjansen) 03:25, 20 October 2010 (EDT)

Since there was no Oostdongeradeel until 1817, it would be more accurate to have sources for each Anjum, Ee, and Metslawier. However, in looking at Archieven.nl, they have the records grouped under the main heading of 30-26. The FHL films also grouped the locations together. I don't think it hurts to create the pages, if that is something you feel should be done.
As far as titles for these sources... ohhhh that opens a can of worms! I see you are watching Reorganisatie Nederlandse bronnen. The Registers Van de part of these sources make little sense and don't appear in any Dutch archives from what I can tell. Even having the years attached to the title, as many in WR do, is silly because that will change. --Jennifer (JBS66) 06:58, 20 October 2010 (EDT)
I could also put Anjum etc in the Detail: Anjum, Year, Nr or page of the record. So one can find it with Oostdongeradeel as well as Anjum etc. But it should really be dropped this Registers Van de! --Klaas (Ekjansen) 07:12, 20 October 2010 (EDT)
I agree with you on both parts! Putting the details about the records between 1811-1816 on the source page would be helpful. I'm glad you agree about the Registers Van de. I am renaming them as I come across them (meaning, as I need to use them to source a document). You may want to consider doing that as well. Take Person:Grietje De Lange (1) for example. You could rename the source Source:Avereest, Overijssel, Netherlands. Registers Van de Burgerlijke Stand, 1819-1942 to Source:Avereest, Overijssel, Netherlands. Burgerlijke Stand first, edit the page quickly to reflect the new title, delete the Publication information that refers to FHL (Publisher, date/place issued), etc. Or... we can try to enlist help to rename them all which might be fun!--Jennifer (JBS66) 07:24, 20 October 2010 (EDT)
