1845 - 1886

These passenger lists record emigrants selected by the Colonization Commissioners London, whose passage were paid for out of the Emigration Fund. The lists typically give passengers' names, and most give ages, occupation and marital status, while some give county of origin. Not all lists have survived.

The lists are grouped into years and then arranged numerically within each year. An alphabetical name index for lists dating between 1845 - 1886 is available.

Please note that no lists are held for 1887.

1888 - 1931

These records are the official passenger lists arriving in Port Adelaide from overseas. The lists include ship's name, master's name, tonnage, where bound, ports of embarkation and disembarkation, names of passengers, age (adult or child), occupation, nationality and number of passengers. Lists may contain names of passengers disembarking at Australian ports other than Adelaide. Not all lists have survived.

The lists are grouped into years and then arranged numerically within each year. An alphabetical name index for lists dating between 1888 - 1924 is available.
