Dorsey, Dana R. (Added Author) Lewis, Virgil A. (Virgil Anson), 1848-1912 (Added Author) In the introduction, Dr. Dana R. Dorsey is referred to as "this writer" and may be the compiler of this book. Contains biographical sketches for 111 citizens of Logan County, West Virginia. "The biographies of early Logan Countian's were collected over a period of about 20 years from three different editions of Virginia and Virginians by Dr. B. A. Brock. ...The sketches were written by Professor Virgil A. Lewis .... This writer believes that these biographies were originally written for a planned Hardesty's History of Logan County which was never published due to the decease of the author."--Introd.
