Benjamin married Mary Backus in 1655 and remained in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and elsewhere. Vol. 1 includes Crane ancestry in England to 1066 A.D. Vol. 2 includes other Crane immigrants and their descendants and relatives in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina,
