Wallington is a village and civil parish in northern Hertfordshire, England, to the east of the town of Baldock. The author George Orwell (1903-1950) (real name Eric Arthur Blair) lived here and ran the village shop - in his novel Animal Farm, the eponymous farm is reputedly based upon Manor Farm at Wallington.
