Research Tips
Van Wert is served by the Van Wert County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, which has published a newsletter for many years. The local public library staff has proved to be very helpful, and the library has some history of its own. It was one of the first to offer service to a whole county, and its establishment required a special act of the state legislature.
