Trevalga (Cornish: Trevelgi) is a coastal civil parish and village in north Cornwall, England. The parish is bounded on the north by the Atlantic Ocean, on the south-east by Forrabury and Minster parish and on the west by Tintagel parish. The village of Trevalga lies 500 metres from the coast on the seaward side of the road from Boscastle to Tintagel. There was formerly a slate quarry and a silver lead mine in the parish. Trevalga was part of the Camelford Rural District from 1894 until 1974. [edit] Research TipsOne of the many maps available on A Vision of Britain through Time is one from the Ordnance Survey Series of 1900 illustrating the parish boundaries of Cornwall at the turn of the 20th century. This map blows up to show all the parishes and many of the small villages and hamlets. The following websites have pages explaining their provisions in WeRelate's Repository Section. Some provide free online databases.
